WHAT HAPPENED?
The midfielder will be able to get back on the field in March after seeing his doping ban reduced to 18 months from four years. There have been reports he may leave Juventus before that time comes, though, with Marseille said to be in talks to sign him in January.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Former France and Marseille star Patrice Evra has given his backing to Pogba joining the Ligue 1 team and said he would contact sporting director Medhi Benatia to encourage him to pursue a deal. He said: "He wants to play football, wherever it is, for example why not OM? I'm going to call Benatia and tell him that the door is open."
WHAT POGBA SAID
Pogba has laughed off the ex-Manchester United player's comments, but did not rule out a transfer. He told : "I laugh because he's Uncle Pat , he said it jokingly. I'm still under contract so it's not credible. The possibility of coming to play in Ligue 1? I'm at a club, I'm just thinking about coming back and getting out of this situation. Of course, you never know what tomorrow will bring, so never say never."
Asked about his reaction to heaving his ban reduced, the France international said: "I was really happy. I hadn't done anything, why would they give me four years? I'll be able to go back to doing what I love the most. It's like I've been given another chance. I've been given back something that had been taken away from me. It's a new lease on life. March is tomorrow, it'll come quickly. And it's something I can't wait to do."

WHAT NEXT FOR POGBA?
Pogba can resume training with the Serie A side before he is clear to play again in March. The Bianconeri have had a mixed start to the season, winning three and drawing four of their seven matches in the top-flight. They sit three points behind leaders Napoli.
Since the start of the Premier League over 30 years ago, there’s not been many better talents than Chelsea’s former star Eden Hazard.
The Belgian magician is truly a legend of the Blues, an absolute icon who brought so much joy, success, and entertainment.
Hazard played 352 matches for Chelsea, scoring 110 goals and providing 85 assists, which is simply an outstanding record for a winger.
With that in mind, let’s take a look at a Chelsea transfer target who could just very well become the club’s best winger since the number ten.
Chelsea’s search for their next Hazard
As per a report from Fabrizio Romano last weekend, Chelsea are “keeping a close eye” on Crysencio Summerville.
The Blues and Liverpool have been monitoring his performances throughout the previous campaign, and talks are expected to begin in the near future.
There’s no debate that the winger has been Leeds United’s most instrumental player this season, and because of that, he’ll be playing in the Premier League again next season.
Previous reports have suggested it may take a fee of £30m to acquire the attacker this summer.
Leeds winger Crysencio Summerville
The Dutchman made 43 appearances in the Championship last season, where he proved that he has the potential to compete against the elite, with his stats truly speaking for themselves.
How Summerville compares to Eden Hazard
It’s fair to say that absolutely everything went through Summerville last season at Leeds, as he served as a continuous threat.
In the Championship, the number ten scored an incredible 19 goals while also providing nine assists, which highlights just how dangerous he is.
These statistics are even more impressive considering he’s a left-winger who’s known for his incredible speed and trickery rather than his goals.
However, Summerville has certainly shown that he could be Chelsea’s best winger since Hazard, with the duo possessing a similar fleet-footed and exciting style of play from the flanks.

Just like Hazard, Summerville has the ability to completely change a game on his own due to his unpredictable style.
Of course, the clear similarity is that both wide men can score goals and create for those around them, which is why Summerville in particular has been dubbed “world-class” by journalist Jake Winderman despite his position in the second tier of English football.
Both players possess brilliant close control, which enables them to weave through players with ease, and at times, they’re genuinely unstoppable.
On top of that, their creativity isn’t capped at just their dribbling, as they can also cause chaos via their excellent vision and ability to create combinations in and around the box in tight spaces.
The fact that Summerville boasted similar stats to a prime Hazard shows just how insanely talented he is, and it gives an indication of how he’d influence the Blues.
Furthermore, the Leeds ace would be perfect for Enzo Maresca’s 4-3-3 setup, with the left-winger spot playing a huge role in the Italian's approach, as shown by Leicester City’s Stephy Mavididi picking up 18 goal contributions last season.
Overall, it’s quite clear that signing a player as talented as Summerville has to be made a priority this summer, and if he can continue to perform like he did last season, Chelsea may have their next Hazard.
Maresca must swiftly sell Chelsea star who earns more than Palmer
This “unlucky” Chelsea player may not find success in Maresca’s soon-to-be-employed system.
Looking to solve their attacking problems once and for all, Manchester United have reportedly turned to La Liga and are now ready to make an offer to sign one particular star striker this summer.
Man Utd transfer news
There's no doubt that the Red Devils need more firepower if they are to climb back into the Premier League's top four next season. The likes of Antony, Rasmus Hojlund, Alejandro Garnacho and particularly Marcus Rashford, by his standards, endured incredibly disappointing campaigns last time out.
Whilst they ended on the high of winning the FA Cup final against rivals Manchester City, Rashford truly had his struggles summed up by Gareth Southgate's decision to leave him out of his Euro 2024 England squad.
Reports have now handed those at Old Trafford plenty of clues as to where that added firepower will come from this summer, as Sir Jim Ratcliffe looks to make his mark for the first time in Manchester. According to journalist Rudy Galetti, after initially eyeing a move, Manchester United are "ready to send an offer" to sign Youssef En-Nesyri from Sevilla.

The offer will reportedly be around €15m-€20m (£13m-£17m) in what United will hope Sevilla deem enough to sanction a sale. What should help is that En-Nesyri himself has already reportedly given his approval over the move to hand the Red Devils an early boost in pursuit of his signature.
United's backline will already be all too familiar with the forward's quality, given that he's scored twice in three games against them and never suffered defeat against United. In those three games, En-Nesyri's Sevilla side have beaten United twice and drawn once in a humbling spell for the Premier League giants.
"Fantastic" En-Nesyri can replace Martial and more
Following the exit of Anthony Martial, United need an extra option in their attacking line, but not just one who is likely to remain sidelined for the majority of the campaign, even if they show glimpses of their true quality on the pitch. What they need is a player ready to step in and take responsibility in Erik ten Hag's attack, which is where En-Nesyri should come in to at least partner Hojlund.

What's most promising about this potential partnership is just how clinical both forwards are in front of goal. Last season, although Hojlund managed just 10 goals, he outperformed his expected rate by just under three strikes in clinical fashion to perhaps highlight a lack of service, rather than any wastefulness on his end. En-Nesyri, meanwhile, outperformed his expected goals by just over five in a ruthless season of finishing.
Described as "fantastic" by Football Talent Scout's Jacek Kulig, En-Nesyri could now get the chance to step into the Premier League and play his part in transforming a blunt Manchester United attack next season.

WHAT HAPPENED?
Back in 2020, eight-time Ballon dāOr winner Messi made history when registering his 644th goal for Barca ā the most that any player has recorded for a single club. In recognition of that achievement, the all-time great teamed up with Budweiser to send out bottles of beer to the 160 goalkeepers that he had scored against.

WHAT SZCZESNY SAID
Szczesny – who is now at Barca after coming out of retirement to provide cover for the injured Marc-Andre ter Stegen – was on Messiās mailing list, but has told of receiving his special gift: āI think Leo only scored three [against me]. I remember because he only sent me three beers! There are probably other players who have scored more against me, but he was the only one I was actually afraid to play against. Because he was that good.ā
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Messi has faced Szczesny on seven occasions down the years, with the first of his goals against the Polish shot-stopper coming when bagging a brace against Roma in a 2015 Champions League fixture. He was also on target when Barca faced Juventus in elite continental competition back in 2020.

While Messi has enjoyed his meetings with Szczesny, the 34-year-old considers his best save to have come against the South American ā with a penalty beaten away at the 2022 World Cup as Argentina went on to claim a global crown. Szczesny added: āThe most satisfying save was Messi's penalty in the Qatar World Cup. The stadium and the rival made that moment very special for me.ā
West Ham United are now looking at a move to sign a £25m+ forward after securing a deal for Luis Guilherme.
West Ham set to sign Luis Guilherme
Julen Lopetegui, speaking after being announced as the new West Ham head coach to replace David Moyes last month, admitted he wants to put his own stamp on things at the London Stadium.
“We will try to put our stamp on the Club. I feel that we have a fantastic platform. I think the last few years have been very good years to have this base, of course, but my ambition as a coach is always to be better and better, to achieve more and bigger aims and to encourage and improve the players, the team, and to compete because football is about this – to compete. We are very ambitious about this.
“I am where I want to be. I am here because I want to be here and for us it was a fantastic day when we closed our agreement here because our commitment is 100 per cent to be here.”
To do that, there could be plenty of work to do on the training ground and in the transfer market, and it looks as if the Irons have now sealed a deal for Luis Guilherme to become their first summer signing.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano, a medical has been completed and a deal worth a potential €30m from Palmeiras is agreed, with contracts to be signed on Wednesday.
After Guilherme, though, it looks as if sporting director Tim Steidten is already working on more deals. Reports have suggested that contact has been made for Udinese defender Nehuen Perez, and an approach has also been made for a new forward.
West Ham make Jorgen Strand Larsen approach
According to reports abroad, relayed by Sport Witness, West Ham have made an approach to sign Celta Vigo attacker Jorgen Strand Larsen. Signed from Dutch side FC Groningen in 2022 for €12m, this summer appears to be the time for the La Liga side to cash in on the Norway international, and although he has a €50m release clause, Celta Vigo want around €30m (£25.3m).
Whether or not West Ham are willing to match that fee remains to be seen, with Larsen primarily a centre-forward who can also play on either wing.
Take out the goals of Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus last season and West Ham’s top scorer was central midfielder Tomas Soucek with 10, so looking to sign a new attacker appears to be a wise move by Lopetegui and Steidten.
With Larsen, the Hammers would be getting a 24-year-old striker who appears to be at the top of his game with a career-high €25m Transfermarkt valuation and one who has just scored 13 La Liga goals last season.
Prior to his time with Celta Vigo, Larsen also hit double figures for goals with Groningen in the Eredivisie in the 2021/22 campaign, so a deal could be a shrewd one, making this a deal to keep an eye on.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Mourinho may be living it up at the Four Seasons but life hasn't been too rosy on the pitch for the Portuguese icon's new side. Fenerbahce were beaten by Lille in Champions League qualifying, while Mourinho was mocked after defeat to rivals Galatasaray and has been accused of "generating unhappiness and helplessness" in the dressing room. Next up for Mourinho is a clash against former employers Manchester United, who have also had a tough start to the season, but victory would certainly lighten the mood at the Turkish club.

Mourinho has won just two of his last 17 games against sides heās previously managed. He's lost 11 and drawn four of those games, but one of the wins was a 6-1 victory against Manchester United with Spurs in October 2020.

Young talents are also high on Rangers' shopping list with the club holding talks with Middlesbrough striker Ajay Matthews after he chose to leave his current club this summer. Rangers are also said to be keen on signing Motherwell forward Theo Bair, however the club will have to face off with Celtic for his signature.
With a slew of fresh faces set to arrive at Ibrox this summer, Rangers have now been linked with a move for a sought after free agent.
Rangers check on big money free agent
As first reported by HITC, Rangers are among numerous clubs that have checked on Ryan Sessegnon. The outlet states that the Ibrox outfit are joined by Fulham, Leeds United, Galatasaray, Fenerbahce, Real Betis, Monza, Como and Atalanta in their pursuit of the former Tottenham man.
HITC also claims that the club furthest along in the race to sign the 24-year-old are West Ham, who have reportedly made more serious enquiries about bringing the left back to the London Stadium this summer.
Emerson Royal
Sessegnon was released from Spurs at the end of last season after the Englishman struggled to break into Ange Postecoglou's squad playing just seven senior minutes over the course of the campaign. The 24-year-old also suffered a string of unfortunate injuries that saw him sidelined for much of the season.
The full back first arrived in North London back in 2019 in a £25 million transfer from Fulham. Sessegnon earned his move off the back of the 2017/18 season which saw the then 17-year-old pick up the accolades of both Championship Player of the Season and Young Player of the Season. The Englishman contributed 15 goals and 6 assists over the course of that campaign.
Whilst Sessegnon long looked like a future England international, the 24-year-old struggled with the step-up to the Premier League. Speaking back in 2019, former Fulham boss Scott Parker spoke on Sessegnon's challenges but also obvious quality telling the press: "It's a different challenge for him, it's been a little bit up and down, anyone would expect the same, that's what happens – you have blips. He's an unbelievable talent."
Bournemouth's former manager Scott Parker.
Sessegnon's most recent contract with Spurs saw him command a weekly wage of £55,000 per capology, however it is likely that the clubs queueing up for his signature will offer a slightly lower pay packet.
Whilst Sessegnon has not hit the heights that many envisioned he would, Rangers could get themselves a steal by bringing in a free agent that could still end up going right to the very top.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Slot heaped praise on the former Ajax boss as he pointed out that the 54-year-old did win trophies during his stint at Old Trafford. Ten Hag ended United's six-year trophy drought by bagging the League Cup in 2023 before beating Manchester City in the FA Cup final this summer to land his second title.
WHAT ARNE SLOT SAID
At a press conference, Slot told reporters: "He's a Dutch manager so it makes it even harder for me, for us as Dutch people. Always your first thoughts are with the person. We are all in this job so we know that it can happen but if it happens – especially because I know him a little bit and I know how much work he puts into it – to get this news for him is a pity. We also know, especially us from Holland how well he did at Ajax and he won two trophies over here so we will see him in the near future again at a big club."

However, both players could be seen as ones for the future rather than immediate upgrades to Enzo Maresca's first team. Estevao isn't even linking up with the club until 2025, so it is believed more attackers could come through the door at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are still interested in Napoli star Victor Osimhen, while Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams remains a heavily linked target for Maresca. The Stamford Bridge recruitment team want to add more attacking impetus, with journalist Simon Phillips now claiming they've reignited their interest in Brentford star Ivan Toney.
Chelsea chiefs hold internal discussions over signing Toney
The Three Lions striker, who came off the bench against Slovakia to help rescue England with the winning assist for Harry Kane in extra time, was commanding a £100 million price tag in January – as Bees boss Thomas Frank was determined to keep him until this summer at least.
He could now leave for much less with his contract expiring next year, with Chelsea chiefs holding internal talks this week over whether to sign Toney.
The 28-year-old's best season came during 2022/2023, where he bagged 20 goals in the Premier League alone, but was forced to spend the majority of last campaign on the sidelines due to an on-field ban for alleged gambling.
Brentford striker Ivan Toney
Interestingly, Chelsea have been urged to do a Toney deal for years now, with Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony claiming back in 2022 that they could seriously benefit from him.
“I’ll say this. Is there a better number nine at Chelsea? Is there a better number nine at Man United? Then let me ask you a question," said MacAnthony on The Hard Truth podcast (via GOAL).
"If you were Man United and Chelsea and you can go and write a cheque for £100million and buy a player from Holland or a player from France and Italy and give them a year-and-a-half to acclimatise, are you going to write a cheque and buy one of the top three number nines in the Premier League, who is not even in the prime of his career?”
“If Liverpool had owners who would write that cheque, I would happily have him in Liverpool’s team, like that. The proof is in the pudding, he’s promoted to the Premier League with a team that’s not fancied to stay up, he’s one of the top three goalscorers in the Premier League in a team that, again, is not a favourite to be top-10, top-12 in the Premier League.”
