Ramji Srinivasan has been appointed as the trainer of the Indian team for next month’s tri-series in Sri Lanka

Segundo agentes da CGU, do Grupo de Atuação Especial de Combate ao Crime Organizado (Gaeco), do MPRJ e da Polícia Civil, o estádio e outros locais que reuniam grande público receberam documentações sem cumprimento das exigências de segurança, necessárias para a proteção da vida de pessoas e do patrimônio, em caso de um incêndio, por exemplo.

– Em determinada conversa, isso é dito. O estádio funcionou sem autorização. Foi dada uma autorização prévia sem o cumprimento das exigências – afirmou a delegada Renata Araújo, da delegacia fazendária.

Os responsáveis pela investigação não revelaram quem negociou as propinas para a liberação do Giulite Coutinho.

Lauded as a ‘top professional’ by footballing legend Fabio Cannavaro, he can lead by example both off of the pitch as well as on it, given the glittering career that he has had.

Nonetheless, he would be an upgrade to Eddie Howe’s current options in the middle of the park, averaging more interceptions, clearances and passes at a higher success rate than Isaac Hayden, Jonjo Shelvey and Sean Longstaff in their respective domestic leagues so far this term (WhoScored).

Given his previous work as assistant manager at Belgium, Graeme Jones will also have a good understanding with the player, and so he can aid Howe in helping to get the best out of him on the field, providing that he signs of course.

Rangers are now on the verge of announcing former Ibrox star Giovanni van Bronckhorst as the new Light Blues manager, according to The 4th Official’s latest update on the Gers’ hunt for a Steven Gerrard replacement. 

The lowdown: GVB profiled

Rangers are seemingly acting fast to replace Gerrard, who left to join English Premier League side Aston Villa last week.

Van Bronckhorst is well known to the Gers faithful after spending three years with the Light Blues during his playing career. He fetched a £12.15million transfer fee when he was sold to Arsenal in 2001.

The Dutchman has had two previous stints in senior management, first at Eredivisie outfit Feyenoord and more recently at Chinese Super League team Guangzhou R&F.

He boasted a near-62% win record in the former post, but that slipped to 35% in the latter (via Transfermarkt).

The latest: Matter of hours

The expectation following a ‘really really positive’ Saturday meeting between Van Bronckhorst and Rangers is that the deal would be done relatively swiftly, and that’s now coming to fruition.

“According to my source,” the The 4th Official’s post on Monday evening read, “we shouldn’t be surprised if Giovanni van Bronckhorst is announced by Rangers in the next 24-48 hours.”

The verdict: The one fans wanted

If Rangers can get Van Bronckhorst in within the stated timeline, then he should be able to take the reins for the weekend’s Scottish Cup semifinal clash with Hibernian. That would be something of a baptism of fire.

Still, they deserve credit for moving quickly, having scheduled discussions with a top candidate within two days of Gerrard’s official exit – compare that to Celtic, who spent the entire summer in chaos chasing Eddie Howe and eventually landing on Ange Postecoglou.

And according to The Daily Record’s Keith Jackson, Van Bronckhorst is the appointment most of the fans want too, so this update will be music to their ears and the atmosphere at Hampden at the weekend should be electric if all goes to plan.

Liverpool will face Porto on Wednesday evening in a clash that has really no impact on the side’s qualification, as they secured their passage to the last sixteen in the Champions League a few weeks back, after going unbeaten.

Jurgen Klopp’s side will have the opportunity though to remain unbeaten in Europe alongside Ajax and Bayern Munich, and if they do beat Porto tonight it will keep Atletico Madrid in with a chance of qualification.

One player that is predicted to play for Liverpool tonight is Divock Origi, who is currently out of favour in Klopp’s super starting eleven but has made a few outings this season so far with seven appearances, three goals and two assists across all competitions so far.

Although Origi is not a starter for the side, he has proven this term that he has something to offer, whether that be with Liverpool or another club in a move that has been highly speculated over the last six months.

According to The Northern Echo, Newcastle United are interested in the 26-year-old striker, who was reportedly valued at £12-£15 million by the club in the summer transfer window, however, nobody could meet Liverpool’s valuation and the player remained at the club for the season ahead.

O Conselho Deliberativo (CD) do Palmeiras elegeu nesta segunda-feira à noite mais seis conselheiros vitalícios. O mais votado foi Paulo Roberto Buosi, diretor administrativo da gestão de Maurício Galiotte. Entre os sete que não conseguiram o limite para serem eleitos estão o vereador Nelo Rodolfo e Marco Polo Del Nero Filho, filho do presidente da CBF.

O CD é formado por 300 conselheiros, divididos da seguinte forma: 148 vitalícios e 152 com mandatos de quatro anos. Dessas 148 cadeiras de vitalícios, 23 estavam vagas e 13 candidatos concorreram a elas. Para ser eleito era preciso atingir a votação de 50% dos presentes mais um. Como 234 estavam na reunião, seriam necessários 118 votos.

Nelo e Del Nero Filho já tinham tentado entrar na eleição de 2016, e também não passaram. No caso do vereador, faltou um voto para que ele se tornasse um vitalício. Foram eleitos: Paulo Roberto Buosi (163 votos), Vittorio Alessandro Egisto Pescosolido (149), Alessandro Donadio (136), Frederico Carbone Filho (130), Antonio Sergio Orcioulo (129) e Sergio Ferreira Campos (123).

Para membros da diretoria, a votação alta de Buosi é vista como um sinal de força da gestão de Maurício Galiotte. Já membros da oposição e com ideias mais próximas às do ex-presidente Paulo Nobre votaram em branco, por serem contra à ideia de vitalícios.
