Wasim underwent a series of tests before he was declared fit and available for selection by the panel of doctors.However, it is yet to be seen if Wasim will bowl with full throttle and is at his best. Since his 20-ball first Test in Dhaka early last month, he hasn’t played any competitive cricket.Wasim, who has over 440 one-day wickets, has been hampered by a series of injuries in the twilight of his career which has left big question marks over his fitness, endurance and chances to make the squad for next year’s World Cup in South Africa.After the three one-day matches, Pakistan has a demanding season ahead with the Asian Test Championship final against Sri Lanka proposed in March and followed up by the Sharjah Cup in April. New Zealand are also expected to make a rescheduled tour to Pakistan between April 20 and May 18.In September, Pakistan will appear in the ICC KnockOut tournament and then immediately host Australia. They leave for African safari in November and return in March after the World Cup.The three one-day matches against the West Indies will be played on Feb 14, 15 and 17 under lights.

وواصل: “عبد القادر يحتاج أن يخوض أطول وقت في أي مباراة بنفس المستوى، لأنني لاحظت تذبذب مستواه على مدار الـ 90 دقيقة”.

واختتم:” أتوقع أن ينضم أحمد عبد القادر إلى منتخب مصر في الفترة المقبلة لأنه يقدم أداء رائعا مع الأهلي”.

Swansea City have agreed a seven-figure fee to bring Joel Piroe to the Liberty Stadium this summer.

What’s the talk?

That’s according to a report by Wales Online, who claim that Steve Cooper’s side have agreed a fee of around £1m with PSV Eindhoven for the transfer of the 21-year-old centre-forward.

However, it is also reported that the deal is far from complete at present, as the former Netherlands U20 international is currently on holiday, something that is slowing the process down, while Brexit complications could also pose a threat to the £675k-rated man’s switch to Wales this summer.

Cooper will be buzzing

As long as the finer issues of the deal are ironed out, the fact that Swansea could be set to land a new centre-forward so soon after the departure of Andre Ayew is sure to have left Cooper buzzing.

And, while Piroe’s returns for PSV last season were far from breathtaking, the young striker’s potential is very much something that Swansea fans should be getting excited about.

Indeed, over his 11 Eredivisie appearances for Roger Schmidt’s side last season, none of which came as starts, the 21-year-old managed just one goal, in addition to taking an average of 0.5 shots and making 0.1 key passes per game.

These metrics saw the £1.1k-per-week forward earn an average SofaScore match rating of 6.70, however, considering Piroe featured for an average of just 12 minutes over each of his 11 appearances, the former Feyenoord player had very little opportunity to have any real impact on his side.

Furthermore, having been targeted by the likes of Manchester City, Arsenal and Juventus as a youngster, a 17-year-old Piroe featured on the Metro’s top 50 U20s list, with the striker himself comparing his style of play to that of Bayern Munich goal-machine Robert Lewandowski, as well as the report dubbing the striker as being extremely technically-gifted.

As such, with Cooper’s reputation for developing young players, should a move to Swansea go on to be completed, we would not bet against Piroe finally going on to fulfil his potential with Swansea next season.

Speaking to Football Insider, Phillips spoke positively about Leeds possibly signing Miller, comparing him to Bellingham in terms of his potential moving forward. The former Sunderland striker said:

“It’s unfortunate from a Birmingham point of view. They’ve produced some magnificent young players over the years and their academy is very, very good.

“If Leeds are in advanced talks with him then the kid’s a hot prospect. If he can follow in the footsteps of Jude Bellingham and Demarai Gray, then he will turn out to be a very shrewd signing.

“I would assume they might sign him and then get him back out on loan somewhere. Or, have him for a year to develop then get him out on loan.

“Leeds are obviously looking to the future as well as now.”

The Verdict: One for the future

Being linked with emerging homegrown talent can only be seen as a positive, so it would be great to see Miller trade St Andrew’s for Elland Road.

It is unlikely that he would be a first team regular immediately, as Phillips has hinted, but he would likely be considered a long-term prospect with a very high ceiling.

A loan move away from Leeds next season would further allow him to develop, with time very much on the teenager’s side.

Former Premier League striker Dean Windass has claimed that Crystal Palace would welcome the signing of Joshua King with open arms.

What’s the story?

The 29-year-old is set to become a free agent at the end of the month following a disappointing six-month spell at Everton.

King was signed by the Toffees on a short-term deal back in February, and the Merseyside club have chosen not to extend his stay at Goodison Park.

Fans would be buzzing

It means the Norway international is currently searching for a new team ahead of the 2021/22 campaign, and Windass believes he would be welcomed at Palace.

In an exclusive interview with Transfer Tavern regarding King’s future, the ex-Hull City star said: “Crystal Palace would take him all day long, but he needs to be playing, he needs to be proving he’s a goalscorer.

“Listen, it’s hard when you’ve done ever so well for Bournemouth, and you’re scoring goals, you get a move, and you hardly play. And then people think you’re a bad player overnight.

“It doesn’t work like that. You need to be playing week in, week out to be scoring goals.”

With the Eagles on course to lose over a dozen players themselves on free transfers over the coming weeks, chairman Steve Parish is set to oversee a major squad overhaul in south London.

Michy Batshuayi has returned to parent club Chelsea following an underwhelming loan spell, leaving a gap that needs filling at the top end of the pitch.

Although King wasn’t a success at Everton, he proved his goalscoring credentials over many years at Bournemouth, bagging 48 Premier League goals in 161 top-flight appearances for the Cherries.
