رد المدير الفني لفريق الشباب بنادي ريال مدريد، راؤول جونزاليس، على أنباء خلافته للمدير الفني للفريق الأول لكرة القدم، زين الدين زيدان، بعد نهاية الموسم الحالي.

وارتبط اسم راؤول خلال الساعات الأخيرة بإمكانية التصعيد إلى الفريق الأول وقيادة ريال مدريد بدلًا من زيدان الذي أخبر لاعبيه بالرحيل بعد انتهاء الدوري الإسباني. (طالع التفاصيل)

وتحدث راؤول عن الأمر في تصريحات نقلتها صحيفة “El Espanol” الإسبانية، وقال: “ريال مدريد بيتي، وهذا هو المكان الذي أريد أن أكون فيه”.

وتابع: “أنا ابن النادي، ودخلت مجال التدريب من أجل مساعدة ريال مدريد بيتي”.

وأضاف: “ليس هذا هو الوقت المناسب للحديث عن المستقبل لأن الفريق الأول ما زال ينافس على الدوري الإسباني، سيفوزون اليوم وسيبقون في المنافسة حتى الجولة الأخيرة، لكنني أستمتع كثيرًا بما أعيشه وأخوضه مع الفريق لأنني لم أكن أتخيل ما وصلت إليه”.

وواصل تصريحاته: “أريد التأكيد على أنني سعيد بتواجدي هنا في ريال مدريد واتطلع إلى الاستمرار”.

Southampton have received a further blow in their hunt for a new right-back after Matty Cash signed a new three-and-a-half year contract with Nottingham Forest.

What’s the word, then?

Well, the Saints were reportedly amongst a group of three Premier League clubs who had flocked to the City Ground to scout the right-back – Everton and Crystal Palace also expressed an interest in the Forest academy graduate according to The Sun (print version, November 15, page 74).

Cash has excelled so far this season in 16 Championship appearances, taking to the right-back role like a duck to water after being transformed into a marauding full-back by Sabri Lamouchi – the 22-year-old spent the majority of last season as a right midfielder, making 30 appearances in the position.

Impressively, the Forest star has scored two goals and assisted two more from right-back, and his fine form has deservedly seen him rewarded with a new deal.

Yet another transfer blow for the Saints

Cash’s contract renewal means that it will be much harder to lure him to St Mary’s in January, as Forest’s negotiating stance over their academy graduate has suddenly been strengthened quite significantly – it feels unlikely that he will leave just weeks after putting pen to paper, while his transfer fee has also surely shot up.

However, this isn’t the only blow that Southampton have had in their search for a new right-back.

The south coast side were reportedly interested in Tottenham right-back Kyle Walker-Peters, although the Spurs academy graduate is determined to stay in north London and fight for his place under Jose Mourinho according to a report from The Sunday Mirror (print version, November 24, page 72).

It remains to be seen who else is on Ralph Hasenhuttl and Gao Jisheng’s wishlist for the right-back role, although they have not had the best of luck so far with their pursuits of Cash and Walker-Peters.

Many thought that Manchester City and Liverpool would be fighting it out for the Premier League title this term, but in the end, there is another team that has split the two.

The Reds do lead the way as it stands, but it is Leicester City who are their closest rivals, albeit eight points behind. Against Everton this weekend, they were hoping stay in touch and keep themselves in an unlikely title race.

They did manage to get the victory against the Toffees, but they did it the hard way, needing to come back from a one-goal deficit to eventually prevail 2-1. Even then it was only thanks to a late Kelechi Iheanacho strike.

It was a good day for the Nigeria international, who scored on his first league appearance of the campaign, whilst he also provided the assist for Jamie Vardy’s equaliser.

Sunderland chief executive Charlie Methven has stepped down from his role at the club, a position he has held since he was part of Stewart Donald’s takeover of the club back in summer 2018.

It is believed he was keen to resign a couple of months ago but was persuaded to stay a little while longer by Donald, until they secured the investment from the American consortium and a replacement had been lined up.

It’s perhaps a little difficult to assess his time at the club, as although he brought back a feel-good factor after years of uninspiring decisions and results, he has ultimately left at a time where the Black Cats are arguably in the worst position they’ve ever been in.

Fellow stakeholder Juan Sartori will take over responsibilities of running the club day-to-day, which seems to be a bit of a strange choice by Donald, as although he has a stake in the club he lacks the experience and perhaps the know-how.

It is not like Donald has much experience of managing a big side, too, though this should still be treated as a new chapter and one which Sunderland can benefit from.

Sartori can breathe some much-needed fresh life into things and hopefully make changes, particularly in the area of recruitment, which has been poor in recent months.

Addressing the issue of a need for a Director of Football would be a great start, and supporting Phil Parkinson in whatever method possible has to be high on his agenda.

Giving him the best tools to work with is vital if the Black Cats are going to get back to the Championship, and though he hasn’t started well he deserves to be entrusted with money to spend.

Establishing trust and a connection with the fans is also critical. Methven lost that touch recently, as did his predecessor Martin Bain, and it is unsurprising that things went sour on the pitch for both as a result.

Another change in the hierarchy which could help is to bring in a Director of Football. It would give the responsibility of controlling football matters to a footballing man, and Sunderland would likely benefit as a result.

وحرص موسيماني في حديثه مع أبو عبلة على الاطمئنان على حالة جميع اللاعبين الذين شاركوا في التدريبات الجماعية مؤخرًا، والتأكد من جاهزيتهم قبل مواجهة نهضة بركان المغربي.

وشارك علي معلول في التدريبات الجماعية أمس، فيما انتظم اليوم أيمن أشرف في التدريبات، وأجرى حمدي فتحي آشعة أكدت جاهزيته للمشاركة في المباريات الرسمية، وفقًا لرؤية الجهاز الفني.

وخاض الثنائي محمد الشناوي وعلي لطفي حارسا الفريق تدريبات خاصة، تحت إشراف يانكون ميشيل مدرب الحراس، ركز خلالها على بعض الوحدات التدريبية التي تتعلق بتسلم الكرة والتمرير للاعبي الفريق والتصدي للتصويب من عدة زوايا مختلفة.

فيما شارك حمزة علاء في الجزء الخططي من التدريبات، الذي حرص بيتسو موسيماني، على تنفيذه في بداية المران. 

وشارك الشناوي وعلي لطفي في تدريبات الكرة بعد الانتهاء من التدريبات المنفردة مع يانكون ميشيل، كما خاض حمزة علاء تدريبات منفردة أيضًا تحت قيادة مدرب الحراس.

ويسعى الأهلي لتحقيق الفوز على نهضة بركان بطل المغرب، والتتويج بكأس السوبر الإفريقي، في المباراة المقرر إقامتها في السادسة مساء بعد غدٍ الجمعة بتوقيت القاهرة على ملعب جاسم بن حمد بنادي السد.

يذكر أن الأهلي توج بلقب السوبر ٦ مرات، كان آخرها في 2014 على حساب الصفاقسي التونسي، ويسعى إلى التتويج باللقب السابع.

A lot has been made of the Newcastle United takeover this week with some reports suggesting that the Premier League have given a green light on the deal.However, the Telegraph’s Luke Edwards has downplayed that with a fresh update today. Liverpool recently announced that Bournemouth had secured Harry Wilson’s services until the end of the season through an extension on his current loan deal.

The Welshman has been a hot topic amongst Liverpool fans since his time with Derby County, where he netted 18 goals in 50 appearances and was known for rippling the net with a long-distance strike or two (via Transfermarkt). He has since enjoyed a spell on loan with Bournemouth, tallying seven goals in the Premier League this season with the Cherries.

However, despite his growth as an attacker, Ian Doyle doesn’t feel he is an option Jurgen Klopp will be looking to use in the future.

The Liverpool ECHO reporter has commented: “I don’t think there’s any chance he’ll play for Liverpool again,” (relayed via @AnfieldEdition). Doyle’s take has sparked some debate amongst Reds fans.

It seems supporters are split when it comes to Wilson’s future, with one fan sold on him being vital to the club’s growth after tweeting ‘It’s like the board doesn’t know the way forward’.  They are perhaps impressed with his stats both at Derby and Boutnemouth and feel that, at just 23-years-old, he has a future with the club.

However, others aren’t too bothered by the notion of Wilson leaving, potentially as he plays in the same position as Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah and neither are likely to be dropped anytime soon given their outstanding goalscoring records.
